My Sgraffito Decorating Clay  

My Scraffito decoration step by step.
Step 1.  My chosen colour is brown.  I designed and made a simple bowl out of clay. 
Step 2.  I applied a 'grass' green slip on top of the brown base.  
Step 3. My object was a ceramic holder, I used this for my pattern. I drew the ceramic handle from different angles.  I used a sharp tool to draw onto the clay bowl and remove areas of slip.

My artists research for my homage project wereKatharine Hamnett and Vivienne Westwood. I was much inspired with their homage with words. Katherine Hamnett designs clothes showing  bold text. Katherine Hamnett expresses her designs visually not as a verbal speech. Vivienne Westwood's design collection shows a political statement such as 'Climate Revolution'.

      I started designing variety of shapes and forms, I got my creative design idea was from France Hotel Bedroom wallpaper. I used a collective colour slips for decoration I use complimentary colours to show them contrasting together. My influence was on my wallpaper from Paris as it showed the true aspect on the 1970's
