Cath Rose Surface Pattern Design

Punk to the designer Vivienne Westwood challenge her clothes as part of being a strong out look to the punk movement. In my opinion what I like about the punk fashion clothes the decayed style weaving material show an abstract perspective.         “ Buy Less, Choose Well”   Vivienne Westwood   Why I think Vivienne Westwood was courageous in her designs. I see she showed a strong an a non-promoting towards the Hitler Nazis mark, therefore is a sign of brutalism  and hatred not  promoting  the sign to war. I like how Vivienne Westwood proud to show off her designs that are  powerful as she promtes punk as strong and unique style.

Zandra Rhodes is my main influence in 1970's punk. Zandra’s designs show a courageous style with materials. I have chosen Zandra Rhodes as she is creative uniquely in her own work. Zandra Rhodes punk dresses have an individual look for any personalities. I love her choice in the punk design that shows a strong outcome to punk. My most favourite aspect to her design piece towards her dresses is the tear wholes, safety pins connected with straps. My view toward to Zandra punk designs show off a revealing side to it, but not as male attention perspective therefore as old decay outlook. Both dresses show contrasting and tonal colours, signs from passion and strong of the performance to the dresses. I see how Zandra works designing with construction, as she uses the safety pins for support not a needle and thread. The wholes  repentant that Zandra Rhodes design was the decayed outlook   

My 1970's style hand-embroidery with graduated brightly colours, represent the true look to the 1970's retro patterns. I used different sewing techniques from French knot and Straight stitch. I design the surface pattern in a variety of scale of flowers from the inspiration  in the 1970's. The background colour and the thread shows a contrast that I wanted to express both patterns to the 1970's flower power theme.    

      I started designing variety of shapes and forms, I got my creative design idea was from France Hotel Bedroom wallpaper. I used a collective colour slips for decoration I use complimentary colours to show them contrasting together. My influence was on my wallpaper from Paris as it showed the true aspect on the 1970's 

Vivienne Westwood and Zandra Rhodes are my most influence design to my 'Nostalgia Decade 70's' project. Vivienne Westwood shows a strong outcome to her designs in the 70's punk fashion to a statement in her clothes.  I personally love the contrast on both designers from Vivienne Westwood and Zandra Rhodes. Their work has giving me influence into the designs and ideas of work that inspired to design my own repentant the 1970's fashion wear from the Punk. 

These are pictures of myself in punk inspired clothes from the 1970's punk fashion. My homage to the punk fashion that I was influenced by was the studs, band T- shirts and Dr Martin boots. I am exploring through my own clothes the different punk fashion looks. I have similarities in my clothes that represent the punk fashion.  

My artists research for my homage project wereKatharine Hamnett and Vivienne Westwood. I was much inspired with their homage with words. Katherine Hamnett designs clothes showing  bold text. Katherine Hamnett expresses her designs visually not as a verbal speech. Vivienne Westwood's design collection shows a political statement such as 'Climate Revolution'.

I made a skirt to base my homage  project I got my inspiration idea having car plate with only the three letter at the end. My idea reason for designing a print with the three letter from cars plates because it shows a comical view and quirky outcome. 

My portfolio building planning  I used a different range of different techniques and strong pieces in my portfolio. The areas I covered in my portfolio were, life drawing, print work, 3D Design, my summer project 'match boxes museum', fashion and textiles samples and surface patterns and my culture visit sketch book,  photos and final artist research on Richard Long on his work 'Water Fall'. 

Quick print I used form  body anatomy parts, I got my influence from my body pattern project and use varieties of contour line and retro pattern for my mine base pattern. I use contrasting and complementary colours together to show I experiment with colours and patterns.    

Abstraction Body Pattern @ London TATE Museum  I designed abstraction body and pattern as I express a variety of forms of life models. I am advertising for the TATE Modern museum by designing an abstraction body pattern poster. I hand made embrodiery privet invites cards for the opening exhibition for Body Pattern Abstration show.      

I design homage skirts base on quotes what I have said, from my mum and inspirational saying for encouragement. My  inspirational idea for designing ceramic skirts of my quotes and sayings, Vivienne Westwood designed a collection shouts out 'CLIMATE REVOLUTION' to stop and help in a politic perspective they'er are not being involved to prevent climate change. I  chosen my inspirational designer from Vivienne Westwood  as she shout it verbally on clothes than saying it.  mine   mine  Vivienne Westwood   Vivienne Westwood

  Club Catwalk London Fashion 80s  http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/exhibitions/exhibition-from-club-to-catwalk-london-fashion-in-the-80s/ The V an A held a London Fashion Club Catwalk exhibition based on different types of fashion in the 80's. The exhibition had a wild range of style from punk , Goth, new romantics, high camp, glam fetish and more varieties of styles. I was really inspired my experience  of the 80's Fashion Club Catwalk I saw a variety of influential collections.    My research Christmas fashion illustration on Pinterest for inspiration with Christmas. The choices of my fashion illustration show varieties of Christmas themed style drawing with inks and illustrational drawings. The Christmas fashion illustration I look at, Christmas themed designs of rain deer fashion illustration and Christmas theme dresses with a design themed Christmas tree and Santa dress design.  

1 2 3    4  5 6  7   I done in my year was Christmas decoration for a good cause of raisin money for Breast Cancer. In groups I had done varieties of shapes of Christmas decoration and different glaze, oxides, dioxides and lusters. The finishing touches on the Christmas decorations had different ribbons and decorative beads or buttons. What I would change with the Christmas decorations would be using different clay with brown and white to show an effect from variety of shades and tones off the glaze. Some threads a ribbon I would use varieties' accessories from chaises for hanging on the Christmas decorations.
